Executive summary 

This case study explores the measured survey and subsequent design proposal for the conversion of a warehouse at Lismarrine Industrial Park, Elstree, Borehamwood, UK. The project aims to repurpose the existing structure into high specification new office spaces, a gym, a hydroponics farm and restaurant as well as enhancing the utilities.

Objective: To conduct a measured survey to inform a redevelopment plan for converting and renovating a warehouse into a contemporary mixed-use facility.

Context and background 

The warehouse at Lismarrine Industrial Park, was previously used for industrial storage and operations. The site is in an ideal location to act as community hub and this transformation is part of wider regional development plans to regenerate the area through business growth.
